Abdul Qadir Al-Murtada, head of the Prisoners’ Affairs Committee of the Ansar Allah Al-Houthi group
Abdul Qadir Al-Murtada, head of the Prisoners Affairs Committee of the Houthi “Ansar Allah” group, announced his arrival in Jordan to participate in a new round of negotiations regarding prisoners.
He wrote in a tweet: “We arrived, with the help and safety of God, to the Jordanian capital, Amman, to participate in a new round of negotiations over the file of prisoners under the auspices of the United Nations. We hope that this round will succeed in liberating the largest number of prisoners and detainees from all sides.”

It is noteworthy that in mid-October, the Yemeni government, supported by the Arab coalition and the Houthi group, implemented what is the largest prisoner exchange process since the beginning of the conflict between them about six years ago.
The exchange, which took place under the auspices of the United Nations and with logistical organization by the International Committee of the Red Cross, included about 1056 Yemeni prisoners, in addition to Saudi and Sudanese prisoners who were held by the Houthis.
