The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that “one person was injured and another was missing in a terrorist attack on a bus carrying the engineering unit of the Revolutionary Guard in the southeast of the country.”
He said in a statement: “In a cowardly act, members of terrorist groups attacked the engineering forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards in the Bam Bisht district of Sarawan province in the Sistan-Baluchistan region in the southeast of the country, where our engineering forces were working to serve the people in building roads in one of the villages.”
He explained that “during this terrorist operation, an engineering employee was injured and another lost,” stressing that “such desperate moves will not impede the continuation of our forces providing services to the people of those areas.”
Iranian media reported that the “Army of Justice” organization carried out an armed attack against a vehicle of the Revolutionary Guards in the city of Sarawan, southeast Iran.
The “Army of Justice” is an Islamic opposition organization and group in the Sistan and Baluchestan region in Iran. It started its activities months after the execution of Abdul Malik Rigi, the leader of the Baloch “Soldiers of God” movement, after he was arrested while trying to travel to Kyrgyzstan by forcing the plane that was carrying him to land in Bandar Abbas South of the country.
The “Army of Justice” is a designated terrorist organization by Iran, India and Japan.
