Major General Yahya Rasool, spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, stressed the importance of military coordination with Egypt and Jordan.
In a press statement, Yahya Rasul said, “The Ministry of Defense visited the Republic of Egypt and examined the Egyptian army’s military system.”
He added, “It is very important that there be coordination between the Iraqi, Jordanian and Egyptian armed forces,” explaining that “this coordination is in the interest of these countries, as it is possible that there is a danger towards any of these countries.”
Earlier, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed his country’s keenness to cooperate with Iraq in all fields, especially the military aspect.
