Al-Hadidi said in a press statement, “The number announced a few days ago regarding the issuance of 340 death sentences, included the total of death sentences issued during the current and previous stages of the presidency.”

Al-Hadidi added, “The Presidency of the Republic will not hesitate to issue death sentences against terrorists, and there is no pressure on the President of the Republic regarding the issuance of sentencing decrees, but there are demands by citizens, clan sheikhs, civil society organizations and international parties, by virtue of its relations with Iraq, to reduce the penalty Execution. “
