Today, Monday, Iraqi President Barham Salih affirmed his country’s support for international and regional coordination in order to face various global challenges.
A statement by the Iraqi presidency stated, “Saleh received the credentials of the ambassadors of Egypt, Walid Muhammad Ismail, Australia’s Paula Elizabeth Kanley, Indonesia’s Elmar Ioan Lopes and Brazil’s Louis Evaldo.”
The statement quoted Saleh as saying during his meeting with the ambassadors separately, that “Iraq is looking forward to strengthening its political, economic and trade relations, and supports international and regional coordination in order to face various global challenges, reduce tensions and establish peace in the region, and continue the war on terrorist groups.”
The Iraqi president referred to “the importance of developing economic relations and trade exchange, and Iraq’s aspiration towards construction and reconstruction, by enhancing investment opportunities in various fields, and exchanging scientific and cultural experiences.”
