The Supreme Council for Sports in the Gaza Strip said that the occupation army killed hundreds of players and sports icons, destroyed dozens of stadiums and clubs, and turned part of them into detention, torture and execution centers since last October 7.
Today, Saturday, the Council called for the Israeli occupation to be held accountable for its crimes against sports, Palestinian athletes, and the rights of civilians, women, and children, and said that they amount to war crimes.

The Palestinian Council accused Israel of turning part of the Gaza Strip’s stadiums into detention, torture and execution centers, as happened in the Yarmouk Stadium in Gaza City, when dozens of civilians were forced to take off their clothes in a clear crime before the world.
A few days ago, a video clip spread on social media showed Israeli soldiers stripping several Palestinian civilians of their clothes and arresting them, including two children, in a playground in the Gaza Strip, which sparked angry local and international reactions.

The Council noted that Israel is committing blatant violations against Palestinian sports, which amount to war crimes and crimes against international humanitarian law, by violating the right to sports, which is a basic human right that is violated by the occupation army in the Gaza Strip.
He called on the international community, international sports institutions and federations, and all countries of the free world to take urgent action and take the necessary measures to stop the genocidal war against the Gaza Strip.
