The New York Knicks have executed their respective team options on the contracts of RJ Barrett, Obi Toppin and Immanuel Quickley, made official the franchise chaired by Leon Rose.
Barrett, trained at Duke and selected with the 3rd pick of the 2019 Draft, secures a salary of 10 million dollars for the 2022-23 season. Last year he made an important qualitative leap, improving especially in his shooting percentages, and with averages of 17.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
For his part, New Yorker Toppin was number 8 in the 2020 Draft and in his first season he did not live up to the expectations generated around him. In 11 minutes he barely averaged 4.1 points and 2.2 rebounds.
Nevertheless; his promotion partner Quickley was the great bet of the new Technical Staff with the 25th selection of the first round, via OKC Thunder transfer. In his debut course he had 11.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2 assists with 38.9% in triples.
