Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Russian presidency, reported that the US President, Joe Biden, did not raise the Crimea issue during his contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In response to a journalist’s question about whether Joe Biden raised the Crimean issue during his telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, and whether this issue was linked to the prospects for developing relations between the two countries, Peskov replied: “No.”
Previously, President Biden announced that the United States would never recognize the subordination of Crimea to Russia and would work to punish Russia for what he called its “aggression” in Ukraine. “Crimea is Ukraine,” he said.
