In an interview with the American Wall Street Journal published Sunday, Peskov said, commenting on allegations about Russia’s involvement in a “disinformation campaign” about Western vaccines against the virus: “This is nonsense. Russian intelligence has absolutely nothing to do with the criticism of these vaccines.” .
Peskov added: “We will go crazy if we deal with every negative report about the Sputnik V vaccine as a result of the efforts of American intelligence, because we see it every day and every hour in all the Anglo-Saxon media.”
The “Wall Street Journal” reported, in a report based on a source in the US State Department, that Russian intelligence launched a campaign to discredit Western vaccines, especially those of Pfizer and Biontech.
The source claimed that the campaign is being carried out through 4 English-language websites “directly linked” with Russian intelligence, but he did not mention any evidence.
