The Lakers are not experiencing a mild preseason. The injuries to Trevor Ariza and Talen Horton-Tucker have hit a team that has a practically new roster and which, according to LeBron James, has a lot of work to do to adapt to an entirely new offensive system. Therefore, knowing a simple update on the physical condition of Horton-Tucker is already more than interesting news.
The forward, who was listed as indefinite absence after undergoing surgery to repair the ligament of the thumb in his right hand, seems to be on the right track during his recovery; not in vain the Angelenos have announced that he will be evaluated in four weeks and that a new update will be given regarding his thumb ailment.
Horton-Tucker’s prolonged absence is a major setback for Frank Vogel’s rotation. Renewed for 3 years and 30 million dollars in summer, the young player of the Californians faces this course 2021-22 after averaging9 points, 2.8 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1 steal in 20.1 minutes per night last season. The head coach of the Angelenos must look for formulas not to miss his intensity and game on the floor.
