The Football Association announced that Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood had been withdrawn from the England squad ahead of the European Under-21 Championship, due to injury.
Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell will join Eddie Boothroyd’s 23-man squad, replacing Greenwood, who scored a goal in United’s 3-1 loss to Leicester City in the FA Cup quarter-final on Sunday.

Greenwood, 19, has scored 22 goals since the start of last season, the highest tally for a teenager in Europe’s five major leagues, according to statistics company Opta.
England will play Switzerland on Thursday, before they face Portugal three days later, and then play Croatia on March 31 in the group stage.
The knockout rounds of the continental championships will be held in Hungary and Slovenia in May and June.
