The channel said that given the move, Trump has no plans to appear in person at the hearings to defend himself against the charges against him.
Joining Trump’s advocates was attorney Joshua Howard, a former Justice Department official who was investigating 42 US President Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky.
The channel indicates that Trump’s chief lawyer in this process, Butch Bowers, may employ another advocate for Trump, a “constitutional expert.”
According to the channel, while in Florida, Trump is closely following Republican protests against his impeachment, describing these party members as allies.
