According to the data of Megafon, the operator of cellular networks in Russia, the “WhatsApp” application currently ranks first among messaging applications in terms of the volume of data exchange between users of the company’s services by 58%, followed by the “Telegram” application by 32%, and then Viber by 2%. And in fourth place comes the “Facebook Messenger” and IMO applications, with a rate of 1.7%.
As for communications via the Internet, about 73% of Megafon users currently rely on WhatsApp for this purpose, and about 7.2% of them use the Viber application, and the Facebook Messenger application comes in third place with 4.4%, followed by IMO with 4.2%, FaceTime, 3%.
