The NBA has confirmed the suspension of the meeting next Thursday, December 23 between the Brooklyn Nets and Portland Trail Blazers.
The New York team, greatly reduced by the COVID-19 infections, does not reach the minimum number of eligible players (there are eight) to play the clash. It should be remembered that the Nets also lost the previous round against the Washington Wizards for the same reason.
Currently the Nets have confirmed casualties of Jevon Carter, James Harden, LaMarcus Aldridge, Bruce Brown, James Johnson, DeAndre ‘Bembry, Paul Millsap, Joe Harris, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving after receiving permission from the franchise to return to the discipline led by Steve Nash.
They are currently leaders in the Eastern Conference with a record of 21 wins and 9 losses. For their part, Chauncey Billups’ Blazers are 11th in the West at 13-19.
