The head of the Libyan Presidency Council called on “everyone to join hands in order to reach the desired country and return the trust to the Libyan people to choose whoever represents them in their next government and parliament.”
Al-Manafi pointed out that the most important goal envisaged is to “unify the military institution,” adding that he said in this regard: “We will support the work of the Joint Military Committee (5 + 5) so that professionals and specialists will establish the military institution during the coming period, which supervises the security of the country. Regarding the second mission, he said that it revolves around “alleviating the suffering of the citizen by unifying the executive institutions, and this is the government’s mission,” pointing out that “there are some oversight and sovereign institutions, and this is the task of the members of Parliament and the State Council, and this path is sponsored by the United Nations.”
Al-Manfi specified the third task of the new executive authority in reconciliation, noting that “the ground on which we will stand in order to reach the desired civilian state by elections at the end of this year, on December 24th.”
