The new US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, held telephone talks with his counterparts from Canada and Mexico, Mark Garneau and Marcelo Ebrard, on bilateral relations.
Blinken wrote in a tweet posted on his Twitter account: “I had a wonderful conversation this afternoon with the Mexican Foreign Minister about the need for continued cooperation between the United States and Mexico .. We value our relationship with Mexico and we are committed to the bilateral relationship dating back to nearly 200 people. Public”.
Today, Foreign Minister Kang and I affirmed the enduring strength and importance of the US-ROK Alliance, the linchpin of peace, security, and prosperity for a free and open Indo-Pacific region and stressed the importance of US-ROK-Japan cooperation.

Earlier, Blinken said in another tweet that he had had a conversation with his Canadian counterpart, Mark Garneau, and wrote: “I enjoyed speaking with the Canadian Foreign Minister today.
