The Israeli army arrested the freed prisoner, at dawn on Tuesday Khalida Jarrarfrom her home in the city Ramallah BWest BankAccording to what Al Jazeera correspondent reported.
Jarrar, a prominent leader, was arrested Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (Left-wing woman), many times by the Israeli occupation, under which she spent several years in prisons, most of them in solitary confinement without charge, before her release in 2021.
Anadolu Agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying that an Israeli military force stormed the city of Al-Bireh, adjacent to Ramallah, in the central West Bank, at dawn, and raided Jarrar’s house and arrested her, after a search of her house.
The Israeli authorities have not issued any official comment yet regarding the arrest of Jarrar, who was a member of the former Palestinian Legislative Council.
Since last October 7, Israel has launched a massive arrest campaign in the West Bank, including the city of East Jerusalem, and the day before yesterday, Sunday, the number of Palestinian detainees in the West Bank rose to 4,695 since last October 7.
These arrests coincide with a devastating war waged by Israel on the Gaza Strip, which has so far left about 21,000 martyrs, 55,000 wounded, massive infrastructure destruction, and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
