The Ministry of Health said in Gaza The Israeli occupation army destroyed medical departments in its new attack on Al-Shifa HospitalSources inside the medical complex also reported to Al Jazeera that Israeli bulldozers have begun to destroy the southern part of the complex and are advancing to bulldoze the other sections.
Al-Jazeera’s correspondent said that Israeli raids targeted the vicinity of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, and sources had previously told Al-Jazeera that hundreds of occupation soldiers stormed the departments of Al-Shifa Hospital and that they were firing heavily inside the hospital’s corridors.
Al Jazeera’s correspondent stated that communications with those in the Shifa Complex had been cut off, following the occupation’s storming of the hospital departments.
Reuters quoted an Israeli military official as saying that Israeli special forces are searching every building and every floor in Al-Shifa Hospital. This step comes after the occupation army showed pictures from inside the hospital yesterday that it said were weapons of resistance fighters. Many people refuted these videos, especially after it removed the Ministry’s account. Israeli Defense on the X platform published the first video of the weapons inspection process and re-published it after making modifications to it.
The director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Dr. Muhammad Abu Salamiya, had previously told Al Jazeera that the complex had turned into a large prison without water, electricity, or food, in a crime that history will bear witness to.
Tragic situations
Abu Salamiya stated, “The hospital is completely surrounded and that food and water have run out. He explained that the occupation struck the main water line. He described the conditions as tragic and that those in the hospital were screaming from thirst.”
The Israeli occupation forces re-stormed Al-Shifa Medical Hospital in Gaza earlier today from the southern entrance of the hospital using bulldozers, and the storming operation was accompanied by heavy gunfire, according to Dr. Adnan Al-Barsh, Head of the Orthopedic Department at Al-Shifa Hospital.
Al-Barsh confirmed to Al-Jazeera that the occupation bulldozers were bulldozing the backyard, and expressed fears that this would be a prelude to the entry of tanks and soldiers into the remaining sections of the Shifa Complex.
Abu Salamiya explained that Israeli occupation tanks were still surrounding the hospital, and revealed that the hospital had 650 patients, 500 medical staff, and more than 5,000 displaced people.
Sniper operations
In his description of the current situation in the hospital, Dr. Abu Salamiya explained that sniper operations are still continuing and no one can move from one building to another, and that the medical staff has lost communication with each other inside the hospital because of this.
He pointed out that reaching the pharmacy to treat patients had become impossible because the occupation soldiers opened fire on everyone who moved.
The doctor, who along with his fellow doctors refused to leave the hospital out of concern for the patients’ lives, revealed that the hospital had completely run out of oxygen, and described the conditions as “very difficult and disastrous.”
He added that the hospital departments are closed to those detained there and cannot be left or entered. Pointing out that the occupation soldiers removed the bodies of the martyrs.
Drones have been flying over the Al-Shifa Complex since it was stormed yesterday, Wednesday.
“false narrative”
In response to the occupation’s allegations of the presence of resistance fighters and a leadership center for the Islamic Resistance Movement (agitationIn Al-Shifa Complex, Dr. Abu Salamiya said that the invading occupation forces did not fire any bullets from inside the hospital, and he asked, “Where are the gunmen?”
He also refuted the occupation’s story that weapons entered the hospital or the MRI department, noting that they were “false” stories.
Dr. Abu Salamiya confirmed that he and his colleagues would do the impossible to withstand, but he pointed out that the ingredients for steadfastness were lacking, especially water.
The new raid on the Shifa complex comes a day after the first raid carried out by the Israeli occupation forces, after which Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari came out, saying that the army will continue to expose what he described as “Hamas terrorism” from inside the Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip. He added that weapons and intelligence materials were found in the hospital after it was stormed.
