Dexter Krueger, the oldest of Australian centenarians, said that he was unable to invite many guests to celebrate his 111th birthday on January 13, due to the restrictions of the Covid-19 epidemic, but that did not bother him much.
In an interview reported by LADBible, Krueger revealed the secret of his long life by saying: “The secret is very simple, keep breathing and do not stop it, and eat three times a day, and you will see that time passes by itself.”
The Australian perennial mentioned that he sings a lot or whistles, and eats a dozen shrimp every day.
“I think it is very useful. During dinner, I often open a can of sardines,” he said.
The man emphasized that during his long life, good things were much more than bad things and evils, despite the fact that he lived through the two world wars, the Great Depression and many periods of drought.
He expressed his confidence that humanity will overcome the Covid-19 epidemic, and said: “I worked in the field of livestock breeding, and during that we solved many serious problems with vaccines.”
Kruger stressed that old age is not a reason for a person to abandon the goals he set for himself. He said that he worked in the countryside throughout his work, and when his wife died, he was 86 years old, and he devoted himself to writing books. During this period, he was able to publish 12 books.
