Barcelona qualified for the Spanish Super Cup final after beating Real Sociedad with a penalty shootout 3-2 after the end of the original and extra time with a 1-1 draw in the match that brought them together on Wednesday.
Barcelona opened the scoring window in the 39th minute through the Dutch Frenkie de Jong, and equaled to Real Sociedad, Mikel Uiarzabal, with a penalty kick in the 51st minute of the match.
And the two teams resorted to two additional time that did not result in any goal to compete with the penalty shootout, which smiled at the Catalan team 3-2.
