Colombia’s President Ivan Duque announced his readiness to receive the “AstraZeneca” anti-corona virus vaccine to prove its safety, amid concerns about the side effects of the vaccine.
Duque said during a meeting with Colombian Health Minister Fernando Ruiz, that if receiving the vaccine would lead to reassurance about the safety of the vaccine, he would be ready to protect it.
It is reported that Colombia recorded more than 2.3 million cases of coronavirus and more than 60,000 deaths. During the vaccination campaign in the country, more than a million doses were distributed to the population.

Several European countries had announced the suspension of the use of the “AstraZeneca” vaccine, after recording deaths among people who received the vaccine, which raised concerns about its side effects.
And some countries decided to resume using the vaccine after the European Medicines Agency announced that blood clots were not caused by the vaccine.
