The PAN member rejected the possibility that the members of the INE be elected by popular vote, as proposed by López Obrador’s initiative, for which he called for the INE to be taken care of, to remain a citizen and its members be appointed by a qualified majority in the Chamber of Deputies.

Marko Cortés argued that the National Action Party seeks to set the example where it governs and make a difference. He emphasized that in his governments of Guanajuato, Querétaro, Yucatán, Aguascalientes and Chihuahua, “they govern well, they are among the best evaluated governments in our country, with better results, where there is economic growth, where investment is attracted.”
