The current contract of the 29-year-old Brazilian star continues until the end of the next season 2021-2022 and was his first contract with Paris Saint-Germain, which he signed with him in 2017, in exchange for payment of the penalty clause in his contract with Barcelona, which amounted to 222 million euros.
Barcelona tried to regain Neymar in the summer of 2019, but the Parisian club insisted on his survival, preventing the deal from being completed.
Earlier press reports spoke of confirmations about the departure of Neymar from the ranks of Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his current contract, and his return to Barcelona.
It is noteworthy that Neymar has played 18 games with a BCG shirt this season in all tournaments, during which he scored 13 goals and made six.
