The Egyptian government agreed to revoke the nationality of Ghada Naguib, wife of the fugitive Egyptian artist Hisham Abdullah.
The decision, published in the Official Gazette, stipulated revoking Ghada Najib’s nationality for her regular residence outside the country, and a ruling was passed condemning her for “a felony harmful to state security from abroad.”
And the Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, issued Decision No. 48 of 2020, approving the revocation of the Egyptian nationality from Ghada Mohamed Naguib Sheikh Jamil Sabouni, born in Cairo, February 3, 1970, who holds Syrian nationality, for her regular residence outside the country, and a ruling was issued condemning her in A felony from abroad that harms the security of the state.
The Egyptian artist, Hisham Abdullah, who is fleeing outside the country and residing in Turkey, faces charges related to state security that carry a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.
