The official added that the percentage of people immunized from the virus constitutes at least 25% of the total population of the concerned region, noting that the largest number of vaccinated people were registered among doctors and workers of trade and transportation institutions.
For her part, Tatyana Golikova, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, confirmed that vaccination in Russia is a free and voluntary process, adding that until next March, citizens will be vaccinated mostly with the “Sputnik V” vaccine, to be joined later by two other Russian vaccines, “Abi Vak Corona.” And “Coffee Vac” (in the event of its successful registration in February).
“The quality control of vaccines registered in the country, as well as post-registration research data indicate that the Russian vaccine has a high degree of safety and efficacy,” Gulikova indicated.
