The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the launch of the “Memory Stronger Than Granite” project, which is dedicated to the historical significance of monuments to the Red Army soldiers in Russia and neighboring and European countries.
The first series of the project talks about “monuments on the territory of Russia, including the memorial cemetery in Pskov, the Corridor of Glory for the heroes of pilots of the Northern Fleet in the village of Safronovo in the Murmansk Province, the monument in the village of Myasnoy Por in the Novgorod Province, and the memorial” Mother Sorrow “in Sortavalsky district, Karelia, North of the country.
The project publishes declassified documents from the central archive of the Ministry of Defense, as part of activities aimed at protecting the historical truth.
And the Russian Ministry of Defense announced earlier that archive documents related to the Soviet army would be declassified.
