© Reuters. The Sao Paulo stock market yields 0.39% and continues in 2022 with a negative balance
Sao Paulo, Jan 4 (EFE) .- The index, the main reference of the Sao Paulo stock market, yielded 0.39% this Tuesday and at the end of the session stood at 103,513 points, chained two consecutive days with red numbers so far this year, according to the consolidated data at the end of the year.
This Tuesday, the Brazilian stock market aligned with the negative trend of foreign markets and went through volatility generated mainly by the movement of the banking sector papers, which were protagonists in both the rises and falls.
The São Paulo stock market thus scored a financial volume of R $ 25,231 million (about US $ 4,435 million) on Tuesday and totaled more than 4.1 million transactions.
With some oscillations, the largest Latin American stock market by volume traded moved this Tuesday between a maximum score of 104,276 integers, when it rose 0.34%, and a minimum of 103,096 units, with a momentary decline of 0.79% .
After a decrease of 0.86% in the day of Monday -the first of 2022-, the indicator this Tuesday subtracted 407 units from its accumulated score.
The gains were led by the ordinary papers of the metallurgical company CSN Mineraçao, which rose 7.09%, followed by the preferential ones of Itaú-Unibanco (2.84%) and the unitary ones of the paper company Klabin (2.55%).
Losses in the stock market, meanwhile, were led by the unitary shares of Banco Inter (-13.68%), seconded by the ordinary shares of the Petz pet supplies network (-8.91%) and the preferred shares of the Bank Bread (-7.82%).
The most traded securities on the day were the preferred ones from the Bradesco bank (SA 🙂 (0.56%).
In the foreign exchange market, the dollar appreciated 0.48% against the real and ended the day trading at 5,688 reais for purchase and 5,689 for sale at the Brazilian commercial exchange rate.
