In an article by Israeli National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi, recently published on one of the London-based Al-Arabiya newspaper websites, entitled: “The War of the Iron Swords,” he affirmed that his country does not object to the Palestinian Authority (Ramallah Authority) taking over the administration of the affairs of the Gaza Strip, “after Hamas.” “; In response to the desire of the international community and the countries of the region, (he said). “We should” stipulate that the “authority” be obligated to educate the young generation (meaning children), in Gaza, Ramallah, Jenin, and Jericho, on the values of moderation and tolerance, without incitement to violence against Israel.
Netanyahu…and cultural change in Gaza
Netanyahu made statements to this effect in an interview with American public radio – a few days ago – by assigning responsibility for the sector to a “civil administration”, committed to combating terrorism and bringing about cultural change in the sector.
Regardless, these statements – and others like them – are what they call: “The day after the war on Gaza,” revealing a denial of the reality of the mud that the “occupation army” has been immersed in over the course of three months of its war on the Gaza Strip, and the enormous losses it is suffering from. Soldiers and equipment, and that this lying army has not achieved a military victory of any value during this period… except for “killing civilians”, which is not practiced by any army that possesses a modicum of discipline, morals, and military honor.
Beyond the fact that this “Israeli failure” prevents Haneghi, his government, and its president; They have the right to decide the form and characteristics of the day following a war, which their “army” has not yet been able to resolve, while signs of defeat are appearing daily. Whether or not the Ramallah Authority – or any other authority – takes over the management of Gaza’s affairs… is not our issue.
Possible on paper and in an earlier time
The issue is the “delusions” residing in the heads of the leaders of the Zionist entity – and behind them the American and European politicians – an obsession with the idea of controlling “the emerging Palestinian and Arab generations”, through educational and cultural institutions, so that they are instilled with love and gratitude, and perhaps fascination, passion, and devotion to this usurping entity. Which means – practically – erasing the idea of resistance to the occupation.
Is this practically possible? Can any administration – the Ramallah Authority or any other – raise Palestinian generations characterized by moderation and tolerance, who do not hate Israel… whether in Gaza or the rest of the occupied territories?
Theoretically, “on paper” – and in a previous time and in a natural environment, not an occupation – education through formal educational institutions (regular schools) could raise children, according to planned educational goals, by education experts, to provide young people with specific and desirable values, attitudes, and principles. Like what the Zionist entity wants.
“Education” is a tool for raising a child and developing him mentally, emotionally, and physically, and preparing him to adapt to society, through the experiences he experiences in school, interaction with the teacher, peers, and school artistic, physical, and practical activities. This is what is called: “intentional education.” That is, purposeful and planned.
The environment…and the invasion of social media
In practice – also in the natural environment, far from the occupation – in order for the “desired goals” of education to be achieved in schools, the “family” must agree on these goals and be aware of them, which does not happen realistically anywhere in the world. What the child acquires from the family, and society with its media, social and religious institutions, is “unintended upbringing.” That is, the child is affected by the daily events and experiences that he experiences in his family and community environment, and then he acquires mental and psychological values and attitudes that may be undesirable.
With the advent of the Internet and the rise of social media, the latter has the largest share of influence on new generations, shaping their trends, shaping their opinions and positions, and directing them.
Racism and aggression against Arabs
A return to the occupied territories, and the illusions of the leaders of the Zionist entity, in “manufacturing” canned generations passionate about the occupation and loyal to it.. Will Israel raise its new or even previous generations to coexist with the Palestinians? The answer is definitely no.
It is known that the educational curricula in Israeli schools instill roots in the souls of the entity’s children. Hatred, racism, superiority, and aggression toward “Arabs.” These “decisions” do not mention the Palestinians, in denial of their existence at all, and are satisfied with the “Arabs”, who are inevitably savages, people of backwardness and savagery, barbarians, extremists, terrorists, saboteurs of urbanization, and haters of Israeli civilization.
It also ignores the biography and history of Palestine, claiming that its lands are the “Promised Land” promised in the Torah to the Jewish people. Not only that, the incitement does not stop against the “Palestinians”, who are supposed to be politicians. They are human animals, they deserve more than killing, and they must be exterminated in Gaza with a “nuclear bomb”…were it not for its serious radiation damage – which spreads in larger circles. From the site of its explosion, it extended to the Israelis themselves, due to spatial proximity – when the occupation army hesitated to use it.
Public incitement against indigenous people
This is in addition to distributing firearms to the “settlers” and publicly inciting them against the indigenous Palestinian people who own the land, under the auspices of ministers in the “occupation” government, as well as orders to torture Palestinian prisoners in its prisons. All of this, and other calls for violence and killing of Palestinians in the occupied territories, are published and circulated in the media, in addition to accusations made by some rabbis.
Any rational and adult person is well aware of the impossibility of applying this in practice, in any educational system, no matter how efficient it is. Certainly, it is impossible to raise a child with “tolerance,” while he and his family are suffering from the ongoing oppressive “occupation practices,” including injustice, humiliation, humiliation, arrogance at security checkpoints, starvation, displacement, and even arrest and murder just because he is Palestinian.
There is no doubt that we, and the entity's government, want to raise the new Palestinian generations to submit and surrender, and to carry out a process of soft eradication of resistance and erasing it, through education, and tolerance and moderation are nothing but misleading titles.
Any occupation throughout history imposes educational, cultural and social systems to serve its goals and prevent resistance. However, not a single occupier has been proven successful in this regard, as the occupation is bound to disappear sooner or later.
