The State Government will deliver a mobile unit to the DIF for timely detection of women’s diseases

• The president of the DIF Sinaloa System explained that mammograms, ultrasounds, Pap tests and some dry laboratories will be provided free of charge in this unit.

Culiacán, Sinaloa, October 19, 2022.- On the International Day of the Fight against Breast Cancer, Governor Rubén Rocha Moya reported that the purchase of a fully equipped unit to carry out mammograms, laboratory and other studies for women completely free.

Rocha pointed out that this vehicle is a joint effort with the DIF Sinaloa and the Secretariat for Women and its function will be to travel throughout the state in order to approach the communities furthest from the cities, as he stressed that it is his duty As a government, bring the service closer to all women.

“We are pushing it in a coordinated way, which is the so-called transversality that we have to push because it is a matter of culture, that women are encouraged to take the test and that we the state through the institutions are capable of bringing the service closer to them, We are going to do it more efficiently now that we are going to have a truck going around the entire state,” he clarified.

The state president assured that no woman who goes to a public hospital should be charged because they all have the right to go to these because it is a universal service.

For her part, the president of the State DIF System Eneyda Rocha Ruiz clarified that, from the institution, they have the pink truck, which consists of bringing women from the neighborhoods to Uneme Dedicam, where they are given a free check-up for prevention of this disease.

He explained that, in the cities of Los Mochis and Mazatlán, women who want to have a free check-up must go to health centers.

Regarding the truck that will be traveling through the state, he mentioned that mammograms, ultrasounds, Pap smears and some dry laboratories will be taken care of at least once in each municipality.

“To reach the most distant communities that are not so easy to move around, we are going to have this DIF unit for women where mammography, ultrasound, Pap smears and some dry laboratories are going to be attended, so we are going to be working in coordination with the transversality that the governor talks about, with the health sector, the Women’s Secretariat to reach these communities and be able to serve them, at least once in each municipality, “he said.
