And US President Donald Trump announced in late October that the Sudanese government agreed to follow the example of the UAE and Bahrain in order to normalize relations with Israel, within the framework of what is known as the “Ibrahim Accords.”
On October 23, Trump had a phone call with both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok.
For its part, the United States agreed to remove Sudan from its list of states sponsoring terrorism.
