One more night, the Phoenix Suns have once again added a victory. Those from Arizona have made winning their habit, and this morning they did it in Cleveland by beating the Cavaliers 115-120, thus achieving their 14th consecutive win and their 15th of the season. This is currently the third best streak in franchise history, and winning three more games would equal their all-time record.

The Cavaliers, on the other hand, added their fifth loss in a row, a bad streak that has made them stand with a negative balance (9-10) and fall out of positions of play-in. The Ohio team was being one of the great revelations of this start of the season, and although it left great sensations against the most fit team in the league, it could not help but continue this pothole that is perhaps lasting too long.

Cleveland fought the game to the end and put the Suns on the ropes at various points, coming back from a 10-point gap in the fourth quarter and forcing a tight finish in a clash that seemed to have let slip. However, despite their insistence, the locals never managed to get ahead, as Devin Booker and Chris Paul made several important baskets in the final stretch to give their team the necessary advantage to escape. The point guard, in particular, added 7 goals in the last two minutes (5 of them from the free kick), being essential in the 6-11 quarter that decided the clash in that period.

CP3 finished like this with 17 points, to which he added 12 assists in another performance in which he knew how to measure very well when and how to force. The point guard made only eight shots to baskets, leaving the weight of the annotation to a Booker who responded with 35 points, also achieved with a fantastic 14/21 in the launch that made him sign a truly efficient duel, against which the Cavs did not. they found an answer. DeAndre Ayton, with 16, was third in scoring, while Cameron Johnson and JaVale McGee were vital with their 14 and 13 points respectively from the bench.

“We know we can win ugly games and score unattractive victories,” said Monty Williams. “I wish we could win by 30 every night, but the Cavaliers have a really good team and we had to find a way to beat them.”

The hosts were led by Jarrett Allen, who with 25 points and 11 rebounds did a lot of damage to Phoenix in the paint, and Cedi Osman, whose 23 goals are his second best record of the season. In addition, Darius Garland reached 19 points and Ricky Rubio 15, although the Spaniard was quite imprecise in the shot and stayed at a poor 5/20 in his shots.
