The time of San Juan del Río is today and now; the future of Querétaro passes through the present of San Juan, said the municipal president, Roberto Cabrera Valencia, when giving his First Government Report at the Civic Center of this city, where he thanked the governor of the state of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González, for his support. , who, affirmed the mayor, will always find an ally in the municipality to take the entity, together and as a team, to the next level.
Roberto Cabrera recalled that, a year after starting his administration, he continues with his purpose of putting San Juan forward, for which, he pointed out, he is committed to defending the interests of the municipality and, hand in hand with the head of the state Executive power , fulfills this purpose. He assured that he will always defend San Juan del Río because, despite the challenges, today is the time for the people of San Juan.
“We relaunched San Juan with the accompaniment of Governor Mauricio Kuri, who has been the governor that this city needs. Because he has made the investment that no ruler of the state had made in the entire history of San Juan. Because he gives direction to this city and because with his support, we will take San Juan to the next level”, he maintained.
He mentioned that, at the beginning of his Government, the municipality faced a natural disaster, for which, together with the state government, they provided social support to more than 2,220 families from San Juan. As a team, he said, the ditching of the San Juan River and the construction of sumps for the rainwater remodeling of the Nogales and La Rueda subdivisions were carried out, which benefit 30,000 inhabitants of the area. Likewise, to build the vehicular bridge over the San Juan River at the height of the railroad avenue.
During the first year of his administration, he listed, in terms of security, a Plan was established together with the Municipal Security Council to work on five axes, such as professionalization, proximity policing, tactical operation, crime prevention and community participation. He added that this year new patrols and equipment were delivered to dignify police work, with an investment of more than 20 million pesos.
He highlighted the implementation of the Co-Mural route, with which young people appropriate public spaces through artistic and cultural promotion, through the realization of community murals. He highlighted the strengthening of the Municipal Youth Directorate and the consolidation of the Sports Directorate, which promotes the talent of athletes.
In the educational field, he said, through the Adelante las Becas Program, support was granted to more than 12,000 girls and boys, in addition to providing them with low-cost English scholarships and training in all areas. Derived from an agreement signed with the Service Unit for Basic Education of the State of Querétaro, he added, schools were rehabilitated in different communities and neighborhoods, such as El Sitio, Senegal de las Palomas, Fátima, El Chaparro, Sabina Chico, Cuadrilla de En medium, El Rodeo, Estancia de Bordos, la Valla, Buena Vista, la Estancia, El Organal, Santa Cruz Nieto, La Llave, among others.
In public works, he indicated that, thanks to the state government, today San Juan has a historical investment of more than one billion pesos; In addition, with state resources for more than 118 million pesos, the expansion of two vehicular underpasses and the construction of a bridge on Technological Avenue began, which will benefit more than 149 thousand inhabitants.
“Hand in hand with the state government, in less than a year we finished the construction of the New Gustavo Emilio Nieto Ruiz Fire Station, designed with high technology and being one of the best in the state and the country, where 65 million pesos were invested. pesos to meet the emergency needs of the municipality. Thanks to Governor Mauricio Kuri, because thanks to him, we were able to have a fire station after more than 50 years,” he said, later mentioning that they are also working on the rehabilitation of the Juárez Market, where 63 million pesos are invested, in benefit of 224 thousand users.
He elaborated that, through the Institute for Sport and Recreation of the State of Querétaro, the cover of the Maquío Sports Unit field was rebuilt and, with an annual municipal investment of more than 173 million pesos, social works were carried out in neighborhoods and communities; for example, the rehabilitation of the Museum of Death, the Portal of Diezmo and Capilla del Calvario. The electricity network was also expanded and, with the Municipal Drinking Water and Sewerage Board (JAPAM), the drinking water and sewerage networks were strengthened.
“These actions of social work, urban equipment, rainwater works for mobility and urban image, will be the beginning for the construction of a new City model,” he explained.
In the economic aspect, he stressed, through the private sector, 2.1 billion pesos have been invested so far during his administration. He mentioned that it is necessary to work to make San Juan del Río a competitive city and, for this, it is necessary to take care of the water and the electrical capacity.
“I am committed to making JAPAM a water operator on a par with the best in the country. And hand in hand with our industrialists, we will strengthen our electricity network so that San Juan continues to be the best investment destination in the entire state,” he said, after recalling that, with the Consume Campaign in San Juan, small and medium-sized local entrepreneurs.
In the field, he added, with the creation of the Secretariat of Agricultural Development, more than a thousand producers have been assisted with advice on commercial, fiscal, productive and financial issues. In addition, producers from the 52 ejidos of the municipality were benefited, where they work in biointensive gardens for soil regeneration. The recovery of eight embankments has also been carried out in the communities of Rosario, El Jazmín, Tunamanza and Palmillas and, with the corresponding authorizations, the recovery of others is expected.
“This year we have also delivered tons of seed, we promote the local production of fertilizer in Santa Rosa Xajay, and through the composting of various inputs, promote the rural circular economy. In addition, the cleaning work of the San Juan River was coordinated through the Giving Life to our River program,” he said, immediately emphasizing that, in terms of finances, the municipality is healthy and where investments are always spent on search for a social benefit.
