The Disciplinary Committee of the Turkish Football Association imposed a ban on Egyptian Mustafa Mohamed, the striker of Galatasaray, for one match, and a fine of 13 thousand lira (about 1700 dollars).
The striker, Mustafa Muhammad, received a red card in the 57th minute of his team’s match against his host Ankara Gojo (1-2) yesterday, Wednesday, after he attacked with his elbow on the opponent’s face Ibrahim Akta, and the match also witnessed a penalty kick against Galatasaray, and the first goal came from it.
The Turkish Federation rejected the appeal of the Galatasaray team, to cancel the red card, and referred the Egyptian attacker’s file to the Disciplinary Committee, which imposed the penalty on him.
It is noteworthy that Mustafa Muhammad (23 years old) joined the ranks of Galatasaray recently, and in 5 matches he managed to score 5 goals in the league, before being dismissed after less than an hour in the sixth game.
The Egyptian striker also scored a goal in the only match he played in the cup competition, against Alanya Sport, which ended with his team’s exit from the tournament.
