The UAE called on both Sudan and Ethiopia to avoid any escalation due to the military tension on the borders between the two countries, expressing its concern about the developments in the situation in the region.

Sudan announced, earlier on Tuesday, that Ethiopian forces launched an attack on the Al-Fashaqa area within the Sudanese borders in the state of Gedaref, killing 6 people, 5 women and a child.
Earlier, Ethiopia accused Sudan of “violating the agreement signed between the two countries in 1972 on border issues by invading Ethiopian territory.”
