The United States government reported that as of yesterday will expel Mexico monthly to 30,000 Venezuelan, Nicaraguan, Haitian and Cuban migrants who enter their territory illegally.

“Persons who cross the border of Panama, Mexico or the US irregularly after the date of this announcement will not be eligible for the parole process and will be subject to expulsion to Mexico, which will accept the return of 30,000 people per month of these four countries that do not comply with using these new roads,” the White House specified in an information sheet by which the administration of President Joe Biden announced new border control actions.

According to the report, the Venezuelan initiativewhich launched in October 2022 and has decreased the number of Venezuelans trying to enter the United States illegally, the US government will extend “Venezuela’s successful parole process and expand it to citizens of Nicaragua, Haiti and Cuba.

The new measures to increase border security and reduce the number of people crossing illegally between ports of entry, the document adds, “will expand and expedite legal pathways for orderly migration and will have new consequences for those who do not use those pathways.” legal”.

For its part, the Mexican government welcomed the extension of the humanitarian permit program for Venezuelan migrants to Nicaraguans, Haitians and Cubans who follow its instructions and do not reach the land border between Mexico and the United States, if they do not enter US territory by air to formally access the labor market.

“People of the aforementioned nationalities who do not meet the requirements or who do not follow the indications of the new program will be subject to Title 42 as has happened so far with people of Venezuelan nationality,” quotes the corresponding statement issued by the joint press issued by the Secretariats of the Interior and Foreign Relationsand the Migration’s national institute.
