The US embassy in Riyadh said on Twitter: “The US embassy condemns the attack launched by the Houthis on Jizan last night, which resulted in the injury of a number of civilians.”
She added, “We wish the injured a speedy and full recovery, and we call on the Houthis to stop their attacks against innocent civilians and to engage in the diplomatic process to end this conflict.”

Yesterday, the Saudi Civil Defense announced the fall of a military projectile launched by the Houthis towards one of the border villages in the Jizan region in southern Saudi Arabia.
The official Saudi Press Agency quoted the media spokesman for the Civil Defense Directorate in Jazan Region, Colonel Muhammad bin Yahya Al-Ghamdi, as confirming that the Civil Defense received a report about a projectile that was fired from inside Yemeni territory towards one of the border villages in the region.
He added that the projectile fell on a public street, wounding 5 civilians, including 3 Saudi citizens and two Yemeni citizens, with moderate wounds as a result of flying shrapnel.
