The US State Department confirmed that Washington will work constructively with Turkey to activate common interests in Syria.
“We have common interests with our Turkish partners regarding Syria,” State Department spokesman Ned Price said during a press conference on Tuesday.
He added, “We will continue to work constructively in the future with Turkey to achieve our common interests.”

It is noteworthy that the policies of former President Donald Trump’s administration towards Turkey in Syria were raising questions among American political circles and members of Congress, especially against the backdrop of Turkish military operations against the Kurdish units that were the largest ally of the United States on the ground in Syria.
In this context, the withdrawal of US forces from some areas in northeastern Syria sparked criticism by some members of Congress.
