(Trends Wide) — Saturday’s estimated $ 635 million Powerball drawing did not have a winner, an official from the Association of Multi-State Lotteries (MUSL) confirmed to Trends Wide.
The unlucky numbers were 28-38-42-47-52 and the Powerball was 1.
The next drawing is this Monday night.
“There was no jackpot winner, so the jackpot is up to $ 670 million (cash value $ 474.8 million) for Monday’s drawing,” said MUSL spokeswoman Anna Domoto, in an email.
Saturday’s drawing featured the 10th-largest jackpot in US lottery history and the sixth-largest in Powerball history, it was reported Friday.
The jackpot was last won in June and has since grown for four months, according to Powerball. The cash value of a winning ticket for Saturday’s drawing would have been $ 450 million.
“When the jackpot reaches this level, we have more players participating in the game, so we are continually reviewing ticket sales to provide an up-to-date jackpot estimate,” said May Scheve Reardon, president of Powerball’s product group and executive director of the Missouri Lottery, in a statement.
The record for the largest jackpot in US lottery history is just north of $ 1.5 billion.
A Powerball prize of $ 1.586 million was divided among three winners in January 2016.
A $ 1.537 billion Mega Millions prize in October 2018 was claimed anonymously by a South Carolina resident.
