Today, Wednesday, the Yemeni Foreign Ministry accused the Houthi “Ansar Allah” group of targeting Aden airport with four ballistic missiles, killing and wounding 100 people so far.
The ministry said in a statement that the Houthis had targeted “Aden International Airport, which caused many casualties, whose number so far has reached nearly a hundred dead and wounded,” considering that targeting the civilian airport “is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and a heinous terrorist crime that requires condemnation and denunciation of all members The international community”.
The ministry affirmed that “evidence indicates that the Houthi militia is the party that carried out this terrorist act by targeting the airport with four ballistic missiles and techniques that are similar to the same techniques that these militias used in previous crimes that targeted civil and government institutions and facilities.”
Earlier in the day, Aden Airport, coinciding with the arrival of the new government, was subjected to missile strikes, which, according to the Ministry of Health data, left at least 22 dead and more than 50 wounded.
The Minister of Information in Hadi’s government, Muammar Al-Eryani, held the Houthis responsible for the attack, while the group denied that it was behind the attack.
The Deputy Chairman of the Southern Transitional Council, Hani Bin Buraik, also warned that it was too early to blame the Houthi movement for the attack.
