All of these words were among the most popular on Google this year.
Google released its “Search This Year” list on Wednesday, which chronicles the things that were most popular on its search engine and that happened during this strange year. The list highlights the most popular searches for this year, which saw a significant increase in traffic during a sustainable period in 2020 compared to 2019.
And while people tried to make sense of the massive torrent of news in 2020, global inquiries including the word “why” – such as “Why was the NBA being postponed?” Why sell toilet paper? – The most searched words this year compared to last year, according to “Google”.
Phrases such as “election results” and “Corona virus” also topped the list of popular searches in the United States, as people sought answers about the deadly epidemic and crucial elections that took longer than usual due to the epidemic.
