Microsoft and LinkedIn updated their program skills for employment with which they offer free training for people to develop skills related to high demand jobs. The companies will offer both courses and certifications, with which graduates will be able to improve their opportunities in the labor market or even seek a career change.
According to the World Economic Forum (WEF), by 2025 half of the workforce will need retraining to stay competitive in a world of work that will change hand in hand with digitization and automation.
As part of the changes to the employability support program, Microsoft will offer free access to 350 courses and six new Certifications Career Essentials, for six of the jobs with the highest demand in the digital economy. In addition to this, LinkedIn will have 50,000 scholarships for the LinkedIn Learning platform.
“Today, and in the future, the vast majority of the modern workforce will need to learn and have digital skills to fill the most in-demand roles and build livelihoods in this changing economy. The six new certifications are linked to these jobs and will be available until 2025.

The goal of this program is that by 2025 at least 10 million people worldwide have developed skills for jobs with the highest demand through courses and certifications.
