They will inform for the purchase of patrol cars

The National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (Inai) instructed the Federal Protection Service (SPF) to report on the lease and purchase of patrol cars.

The president of the INAI, Blanca Lilia Ibarra Cadena, stated that the SPF administration department did not provide information on the acquisition of 4,000 patrol cars and contracts with suppliers.

Said requirement had requested a copy of the tenures paid in the rental of vehicles for security tasks in the last five years; copies of the contract with the AutoHangar company, in addition to the 1,000 new Charger patrol cars. Also, he wanted to know information about the purchase of 3,000 new patrol cars and what was the status of the contract with the company Integra Arrenda.

The head of the Institute pointed out that, on November 3, 2021, during the morning conference, the federal Executive pointed out that the decentralized body of the Secretariat for Citizen Security and Protection sought to obtain the services of 4,000 patrol cars, because there were not enough units due to the increase in the operational capacity of the SFP from 7,108 to 10,630 members.

It was reported that, in order to resolve the merits of the matter, a search for public information was carried out and a contract signed by the regulated entity was located. In the document there was data on the provision of the ground transportation leasing service, with vehicles equipped as marked or unmarked patrols; which leaves the search criteria used by the obliged subject, to locate the information, was restrictive.
