They will supervise the expropriation of the highway right of way to Puerto Escondido

The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) invited four companies to monitor the process of expropriation of the right of way and additional areas for the construction of the Barranca Larga-Ventanilla highway (which will connect Oaxaca with Puerto Escondido), whose The inauguration is scheduled for next December.

To date, the dependency estimates an advance of 83.9% of all the work that represents an investment of 8,283 million pesos will have 10 bridges, three tunnels, two booths, two viaducts and 15 junctions, which will benefit more than 100,000 inhabitants of 11 communities in the region and to tourism.

The communities where the already agreed expropriations will be carried out, according to the dependency, are: Santa María Colotepec, San Francisco Coatlán and Santa Catarina Coatlán.

Said project was concessioned since 2009 to a subsidiary of Grupo Omega and in 2012 it was transferred to ICA. Due to the fact that the commitments were not fulfilled, in 2017 it was assigned to the National Infrastructure Fund (Fonadin), which has the task of finishing this year (to conclude, it divided the work into four sections in which they chose Mota through tenders). Engil, Coconal, Vise and Grupo Rubio).

Some of the tasks to be carried out by the company in charge of following up on the expropriation tasks, initiated in this administration, are: identification and field survey of the georeferenced points that correspond to the boundaries in each agrarian nucleus, investigation and topographic demarcation of affected properties and layout of the project layout of the areas to be expropriated.

Engineering and Constructions Mayran, Construction and Advice on Works and Services, Temacsa Engineering and Lordaneli Consulting and Engineering are the companies invited by the SICT to participate. Next October 27 is the date for delivery of technical and economic proposals.

The promise to inaugurate

Despite the promise to conclude in the next two months, the work program established by the SCT specifies that “it should be considered that the study will be carried out within a period of 60 calendar days, with an estimated start date of November 1, 2022 to December 30, 2022”.

The foregoing makes it clear that at the time it is planned to open, the expropriation process will be completed.
