They would discuss double trailer and FA tasks in Deputies

The president of the Political Coordination Board (JCP) of the Chamber of Deputies, Ignacio Mier Velazco, announced that this week it is planned to analyze the minute from the Senate on the work of the Armed Forces in security tasks, in addition to the reform to guarantee substantive equality, which represents modifying 50 articles of the Constitution.

The also parliamentary coordinator of Morena in San Lázaro announced that he will propose to the JCP —which he chairs— that it be enabled on Wednesday to meet in person and attend to pending legislative issues.

Mier said, in turn, that he will propose to include the discussion of the ruling on prohibiting, or not, the circulation of double-trailer trailers on the country’s highways and, with this, move forward so that next week the analysis of the Economic Package 2023.

“We have several pending, so we calculate that three sessions could be held,” he said.

PRI support

Regarding the reform coming from the Senate, related to the security tasks of the Armed Forces, Mier trusted —in clear reference to the PRI deputies— that the legislators who have supported the constitutional reform on the National Guard endorse their vote in favor.

“Ask again those who have opposed, to reflect and accompany the senators who decided to change their minds and saw the need to give the country and families the right to live safely.

“Closing the path to impunity and violence and for this it is necessary to make the state police more efficient, but with the accompaniment, without a doubt, of the Armed Forces,” he said.

In addition, he saw as positive that on this occasion the opposition parties have been listening to their governors and presidents who, he said, mostly support the deployment of the National Guard in their localities.

“80% of Mexicans love the National Guard, they want it to be professionalized, to be trained, not to incur the acts of corruption that the Federal Police did.

“And that we really have an instrument to guarantee the security of the heritage and the physical integrity of people.”
