Thousands of Cypriots participated in the capital, Nicosia, in a protest march against the restrictions of the Corona virus and corruption, despite imposing a ban on gatherings in the country to avoid the spread of the virus.
Participants in the march carried flowers and banners from the center of the capital to the parliament building.
Police monitored from afar the protesters who adhered to preventive measures from the Corona virus.
Cyprus has imposed general isolation measures and tightened them from time to time for nearly a year. However, the announcement of corruption in the Citizenship Investment Scheme sparked public discontent.
The march comes after a violent police crackdown on an earlier protest, which sparked widespread criticism last week.
