The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed a multi-year contract with Vit Krejci, as the organization itself announced this Friday. The economic terms have not been disclosed.
The Czech international was selected by the Washington Wizards in the 37th position of the 2020 draft. That same night he would be sent to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The player had gone through all the lower categories of Casademont Zaragoza in the Spanish league since he joined the entity at the age of 13 in 2013.
Krejci landed in the United States earlier this year to join the Oklahoma City Blue of the Development League, but a serious knee injury suffered previously did not allow him to play for a single minute. Now he becomes a player owned by the Thunder after paying the termination clause to the Spanish club.
Before signing Krejci, the Thunder had twelve players under fully guaranteed contracts for the 2021-22 season. The three not guaranteed correspond to Kenrich Williams, Gabriel Deck and Charlie Brown. Everything indicates that Williams will be made with one of the available places, so the other could be disputed between Deck and Brown.
