Tianguis Turístico de la CDMX is already concentrating the largest number of buyers

The Tianguis Turístico de la Ciudad de México is already concentrating the largest record number of buyers compared to the same period, prior to the realization, of the previous editions, for which reason it is projected that it will be the one with the greatest participation in the history of the event.

According to the secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Miguel Torruco Marques12 weeks before the most important event in the tourism sector is held, there have been 737 buyers.

The editions with the closest figures, 12 weeks apart from the celebration of the event, are: Merida in 2021, with 644; Guadalajara in 2016, with 442; Mazatlan in 2018, with 379; acapulco in 2017, with 334; and Acapulco in 2015, with 191 buyers.

Regarding the 2019 and 2022 editions in Acapulco, in the seventh week prior to the Tianguis Turístico, 496 and 793 buyers had registered, respectively.

“The most important festival of tourism in Latin America for the first time in its history is will take place in the capital of the country from March 26 to 29and will break all the records of previous editions”, considered Torruco Marqués.

What is projected by the federal agency is added to what was stated by the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, at the start of this 2023.

According to the economic projections for this year for the capital, the local president assured that the edition of this Tianguis Turístico will be the largest and with the greatest participation.

“It will be the largest Tianguis in history, due to the characteristics of the city it has much more room and, in addition, many people have signed up, but we want people who come to the city to also know about the activities that they are made in the city,” he said last week.

Sheinbaum Pardo explained that this year begins with a series of meetings with the federal Secretary of Tourism to promote the city’s tourist attractions and promote the sector event.

The Tianguis Turístico México 2023 will take place in the Citibanamex Center of Mexico City, which will have an exhibition area of 34,000 square meters.

In addition to concentrating this number of buyers, the head of the federal agency stressed that for this edition they are carrying out a new package of actions; for example, it will be the first time that international pavilions will participate.

There, the participation of the countries of the Organization of the Mayan World stands out, which are Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, along with Mexico.

Likewise, it will be the first time that cultural activities from the 32 states are generated in the country’s capital.

“The 47th edition of the Tianguis Turístico México will be the third with an inclusive character, with the purpose of highlighting the importance of inclusion and accessibility as the axis of economic and social development of the tourism sector,” the federal Secretary of Tourism deepened.
