A senior Today show producer has been charged with allegedly raping a woman at his Bondi home after a boozy, cocaine-fuelled night out.

Police alleged the sexual assault took place after a boozy, cocaine-fuelled night out
Police arrested Nicol at 7.30pm on Tuesday, and he was than taken to Waverley Police station and charged with rape and refused bail.
The court heard Nicol and the alleged victim had a wild night out with a group of friends on the night of the alleged incident, the Daily Telegraph reported.
‘It’s not an issue of whether it happened, it’s an issue of consent. The facts state sexual intercourse by virtue of fingers and a penis is what is said to have occurred,’ Magistrate Ross Hudson said.
‘There was intoxication and a suggestion cocaine or other drugs may have been used. It is what appears to be a strong prosecution case.’
Detectives in the eastern suburbs launched an investigation after the alleged victim was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital by a friend the morning after the alleged attack.

Nicol was granted bail by Magistrate Hudson under strict conditions, despite the very serious charges against him.
He was ordered to stay off social media, abstain from drugs and alcohol, and not go within 1km of the alleged victim’s home.
He will also remain under a curfew between 8pm and 6am until the case is heard.
Nicol said the allegations were ‘strongly denied’ and the charge would be ‘vigorously defended in court’.
The matter will return to court on April 6.
Channel Nine told Daily Mali Australia it would not be commenting on case as the matter is before the courts.
