- Incident was at Chullora Woolworths in south-west Sydney on March 7 this year
A mother and daughter who were charged started a supermarket fight over toilet paper amid panic buying chaos at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic have seen their convictions wiped.
Treiza Bebawy, 61, and Meriam Bebawy, 23, were originally charged with affray following the ugly altercation at Chullora Woolworths in south-west Sydney on March 7 this year.
The pair appealed their 12-month good behaviour bonds, which were handed down by a NSW local court magistrate in July.

In Parramatta District Court on Friday, their convictions were quashed, with both women crying with relief at the outcome.
When Meriam Bebaway, a healthcare worker, was asked by journalists her thoughts on the ruling, she replied ‘not to you’ to a representative from A Current Affair.
The hearing in Sydney’s west was tense from the outset after the Bebawy legal team requested District Court Judge Norman Delaney remove himself from the case.
But Judge Delaney declined to do so and the case continued.
He went on to state that the third party involved in the fight, Tracy Hinckson, did not offer evidence when the case was heard in July.
So as a result, he was unable to rule beyond reasonable doubt that Ms Hinckson feared for her safety during the altercation, and threw the convictions out.
In their original statement to police, the Bebawy ladies said they were the victims at the Chullora supermarket, which they burst into at 7am as soon as the grocery store opened on March 7.
The pair attempted to grab bulk amounts of toilet paper, piling eight packets into their trolley.

‘Then they stopped us from moving, all the staff…they ganged up on us, saying no, you can’t take that much, you’re selfish,’ Meriam told police at the time.
‘Then (soon after) I felt a punch to my face…then she (Tracy Hinckson) grabbed my hair, so it started,’ she recalled.
‘My hands just went flying. I don’t know what I was doing. I think I hit her across the face. I thought if I hurt her she’d let go of me, she’d let go of my hair. She just wouldn’t let go of my hair, she twisted me, it was just so quick.
‘Then I saw my mum got involved and grabbed her from the shirt, ripped her shirt from the top. It was crazy.’
