Tokyo governor warns of a possible explosion in cases of corona

Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike said that the coronavirus situation in Tokyo is very dangerous and that the Japanese capital may face an “explosion” in cases of COVID-19.

“Please emphasize life more than fun,” the governor added, in a press conference, calling for caution during the New Year holiday celebrations.

She called on people to stay home as much as possible during the vacation, one of the longest holidays in Japan, as people throw parties, gather at their homes and return to their hometowns from the capital.

The number of cases of kurna virus infection during the past 24 hours in Tokyo reached 856.
